Adolphe Lecours became the Canadiens’ second coach in 1910, succeeding Jean-Baptiste “Jack” Laviolette behind the team’s bench.
Lecours coached the Canadiens for only one season, posting an 8-8-0 record in 1910-11.
It was during Lecours’ tenure that legendary goalie Georges Vezina made his debut with the team.
Replaced for the 1911-12 season by Napoleon Dorval, Lecours was one of a number of coaches that had relatively brief stints with the Canadiens during the team’s early days.
