Alain Nasreddine was the Panthers’ sixth-round pick and the 135th overall selection at the 1993 NHL Entry Draft. He was traded by Chicago to the Canadiens on Nov. 16, 1998, along with Jeff Hackett, Eric Weinrich and Tampa Bay’s fourth-round pick at the 1999 draft, in exchange for Brad Brown, Dave Manson and Jocelyn Thibault. He played eight games with the Canadiens during their 1998-99 campaign and was assessed 33 minutes of penalty time. The Habs eventually traded him to Edmonton along with Igor Ulanov in return for Christian Laflamme and Matthieu Descoteaux on Mar. 9, 2000.
