Hailing from Winnipeg, Manitoba, defenseman Ambrose Moran was traded to the Canadiens by the Boston Bruins on Oct. 22, 1926 in exchange for Billy Coutu. He made his NHL debut, playing 12 games with the Habs in their 1926-27 campaign, during which he recorded 10 penalty minutes before being returned to the Bruins on Dec. 23, 1926, despite never dressing for another game with the Boston organization. In addition to the Canadiens, Moran also played for the Blackhawks during his time in the NHL.
