Originally from Guelp, Ontario, Arthur Brooks played both defenseman and goaltender during his career. He was picked up by the National Hockey Association’s Montreal Canadiens along with Reg Noble on Feb. 11, 1917 as a result of the suspension of their Toronto club. Brooks played one game with the Canadiens in 1916-17, scoring no points.
