Cam Connor was the Canadiens’ first-round pick and the 5th overall selection at the 1974 NHL Entry Draft. He made his debut with the Habs on Oct. 29, 1978 against the Chicago Blackhawks. Connor went on to play 31 games with the team season that season, with eight of them coming during the playoffs to help the Canadiens win their fourth consecutive Stanley Cup. He was claimed by the Edmonton Oilers as part of the league’s expansion draft on Jun. 13, 1979. Connor also played for the New York Rangers during his time in the NHL.
