Despite playing only six regular-season games in the NHL and another seven in the playoffs, Connie Broden managed to accomplish what only a select few do in their entire careers: having his name engraved twice on the Stanley Cup. With the Canadiens dynasty on the rise, Broden was a member of the Habs’ Championship teams of 1957 and 1958.
Broden is also one of only two players in history – the other being the Islanders’ Ken Morrow in 1980 – to have won gold at the World Championships and Stanley Cup in the same year, accomplishing the feat in 1958.
