Craig Laughlin was the Canadiens’ tenth-round pick and the 162nd overall selection at the 1977 NHL Entry Draft. He made his debut with the Habs against the Detroit Red Wings on Dec. 3, 1981. He played 39 games with the team over the course of that season, with three of them coming during the playoffs, recording 12 goals and 12 assists. He was traded to Washington on Sept. 9, 1982, along with Rod Langway, Brian Engblom and Doug Jarvis in exchange for Rick Green and Ryan Walter. Laughlin also played for the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Los Angeles Kings before crossing the pond for a season in Germany in 1989-90.
