Hailing from Baie-Comeau, Quebec, Dave Morissette was the Washington Capitals’ seventh-round pick and the 146th overall selection at the 1991 NHL Entry Draft. He signed as free agent with Montreal on Jun. 10, 1998. Morissette made his NHL debut with the Habs on Oct. 16, 1998, and went on to play nine other games with the team during their 1998-99 campaign. He played one final game – also his last in the league – with the Habs the following season on Feb. 16, 2000, against the Atlanta Thrashers.
