Hailing from Edmonton, Alberta, centerman Douglas Anderson signed with the Canadiens on Sept. 30, 1952. He played his only two games in the NHL as a member of the Montreal organization during the 1952-53 playoffs, recording no points. While he qualified to have his name engraved on the Stanley Cup, it was still left off due to the fact that he was not considered one of the team’s regular players.
