Ed Litzenberger made his NHL debut in 1952-53, playing two games as a member of the Canadiens. After three more matches with the team in 1953-54 and another 29 in 1954-55, he was traded to Chicago in exchange for Paul Masnick on Dec. 10, 1954. Litzenberger also played for the Detroit Red Wings and the Toronto Maple Leafs during his time in the NHL and enjoyed a career that saw him win the Calder Trophy in 1954-55 and the Stanley Cup in 1960-61 and 1963-64.
