Montreal’s third-round draft choice and 75th overall pick in the 1998 NHL Entry Draft, defenseman François Beauchemin played his only game with the Canadiens on Feb. 27, 2003 against the Minnesota Wild. Beauchemin played 17:11, recorded one shot on goal and was a –1 in a game that saw the Habs win 6-3. He was picked up on waivers by Columbus on Sept. 15, 2004. François Beauchemin currently plays with the Toronto Maple Leafs, and was also previously a member of the Anaheim Ducks with whom he won the Stanley Cup in 2007.
