Born in Montreal, Quebec, center Frédérick Burchell played a total of four games with the Canadiens, hitting the ice twice in 1950-51 and another two times in 1953-54 and was assessed two penalty minutes during that stint. The Habs traded his rights to Chicago on Jul. 3, 1955 in exchange for Max Quackenbush. The trade was immediately annulled following Quackenbush announcing his retirement.
