Prior to his arrival in Montreal, Glen Skov was already an 11-year veteran of the NHL. He won the Stanley Cup three times during his six-year tenure with the Detroit Red Wings before going on to play five seasons with the Blackhawks. He was traded to the Canadiens on Jun. 7, 1960, along with Terry Gray, Bob Courcy and Cec Hoekstra. He played his final three games in the NHL as a member of the Habs during their 1960-61 campaign, recording no points.
