Hailing from St. Catherines, Ontario, right-winger, Glenn Goldup was the Canadiens second-round pick and the 17th overall selection at the 1973 NHL Entry Draft. He made his debut with the Habs on Nov. 7, 1973 against the Maple Leafs in Toronto. Goldup played five other games with the Canadiens that same season, as well as nine more spread across the following three seasons. He was traded to the Los Angeles Kings on Jun. 12, 1976 along with the Canadiens third-round pick in 1978, in exchange foe the Kings’ third-round pick in 1977 (Moe Robinson) and their first-round pick in 1978 (Danny Geoffrion). Goldup spent the next six seasons playing for the California organization before ending his career in the Minors in 1984.
