Hailing from London, Ontario, defenseman George Prodgers’ rights were sold to the Canadiens by the Montreal Wanderers on Dec. 4, 1915. In his only season with the Habs he played 28 games for the team during their 1915-16 campaign recording 11 goals, including the Stanley Cup winning goal on Mar. 30, 1916, as well as three assists. As a member of the National Hockey Association, Prodgers also spent time as a member of the Quebec Bulldogs and Toronto’s 228th Batallion, and in the NHL, as part of the Toronto St. Patricks and the Hamilton Tigers.
