Jason Dawe was the Buffalo Sabres’ second-round pick and the 35th overall selection at the 1991 NHL Entry Draft. He made his NHL debut in 1994 and went on to play the next three seasons as a Sabre. After spending almost a full season within the Islanders’ organization, he was claimed off waivers by the Canadiens on Dec. 15, 1998. He played 37 games with the Habs during their 1998-99 campaign, recording four goals and five assists. Dawe signed as a free agent with the Predators on Oct. 2, 1999, but would never actually take to the ice for the Nashville squad. He also played for the New York Rangers, with whom he disputed the final game of his NHL career in 2001-02.
