Jeffrey Brubaker was the Bruins’ sixth-round pick and the 102nd overall selection at the 1978 NHL Entry Draft. He was claimed by the Canadiens as part of the intra-league Draft on Oct. 5, 1981, when he was a member of the Hartford Whalers. Brubaker played three regular season games and another two in the playoffs during the Habs 1981-82 campaign, recording one assists and an impressive 59 penalty minutes. He was claimed off waivers by the Quebec Nordiques on Oct. 3, 1983, before being claimed off waivers again only a few hours later, by the Calgary Flames. Brubaker also played for the Toronto Maple Leafs, Edmonton Oilers, New York Rangers and Detroit Red Wings during his time in the NHL.
