Hailing from Edina, Minnesota, right-winger Jefferson Teal was the Canadiens’ fourth-round pick and the 82nd overall selection at the 1980 NHL Entry Draft. He made his NHL debut against the Edmonton Oilers on Jan. 10, 1985. In his only stint in the NHL, he recorded one assists in six games with the Habs, eventually going on to help the Sherbrooke Canadiens win the Calder Cup in the spring of 1985 before retiring directly afterwards.
