Originally from Port Arthur, Ontario, Jame Haggarty won a silver medal with Team Canada at the 1936 Garmisch-Partenkirchen Olympic Games in Germany. He signed a contract with the Canadiens on Mar. 3, 1942 and went on to play the last five games of the regular season with the Habs in addition to three more during their playoff series with the Red Wings. In that time, Haggarty posted a total of three goals and two assists to go along with his two penalty minutes.
