On Jun. 11, 1963 he was traded to the Canadiens by the American Hockey League’s Hershey Bears in exchange for Ralph Keller as well as the temporary services of Chuck Hamilton. Réaume played three games with the Habs during their 1963-64 campaign and was assessed two penalty minutes. He was eventually reclaimed by the Maple Leafs on Jun. 9, 1964 as part of the intra-league draft, but never stepped back onto the ice for the team.
