Moe Robinson was the Canadiens third-round pick and the 49th overall selection at the 1977 NHL Entry Draft. Playing on the blue line just as his famous brother, Larry Robinson, had before him, he was called up by the Habs in December of 1979 to replace his injured brother. Despite dressing to face the Oilers on Dec. 14, 1979, Robinson ultimately went unused by head coach Claude Ruel in that game, postponing his NHL debut until the following night in Winnipeg against the Jets. Robinson didn’t make it onto the scoresheet in what would be his only game in the league.
