Hailing from Falin, Sweden, Patrik Kjellberg was the Canadiens fourth-round pick and the 83rd overall selection at the 1988 NHL Entry Draft. He made his NHL debut on Oct. 8, 1992 against the Ottawa Senators. He went on to play six other games for the Habs during their 1992-93 campaign, recording no points and eventually leaving the Canadiens to continue his playing career in Europe. Kjellberg helped his country win the gold medal for hockey at the Lillehammer Olympic Games in Norway. He made his return to North America in 1998, playing first for the Nashville Predators followed by the Anaheim Mighty Ducks.
