Patrick Lebeau is the younger brother of Stephan Lebeau who played for the Canadiens from 1989 to 1994. Patrick was the Habs eighth-round pick and the 167th overall selection at the 1989 NHL Entry Draft. He had just come off an impressive QMJHL season in 1989-90 that saw him post 174 points. Lebeau played two games with the Canadiens during their 1990-91 campaign, recording an assist in his first NHL game on Feb. 20, 1991 against the Hartford Whalers. He scored his first goal in the League three days later against the Maple Leafs’ Jeff Reese at the Forum. He was traded to the Calgary Flames for future considerations on Oct. 5, 1992, and also played for the Florida Panthers and the Pittsburgh Penguins during his time in the NHL.
