Originally from Goteborg, Sweden, center Patrik Carnback was the Canadiens’ sixth-round pick and the 125th overall selection at the 1988 NHL Entry Draft. He made his NHL debut against the Washington Capitals on Nov. 23, 1992, at the Forum. He went on to play five more games with the Habs during their 1992-93 campaign, recording no points. On Aug. 10, 1993, he was traded to the Anaheim Mighty Ducks, along with Todd Ewen, in exchange for their third-round pick in the 1994 draft (Chris Murray). Carnback played three seasons for Anaheim before crossing the pond to continue his career in Europe.
