Born in Peterborough, Ontario, left-handed defenseman Paul Curtis was cutting his teeth in the American Hockey League, playing for the Montreal Voltigeurs, when he was called up by the Habs in 1969-70. He was kept off the score sheet in his only game as a Canadien. Curtis was acquired by the Los Angeles Kings at the inter-league draft on June 9, 1970.
