Hailing from North Bay, Ontario, left-winger Peter Palangio signed a contract with the Canadiens on Mar. 2, 1927, playing the last six games of the season with the Montreal organization. The following season he was loaned to the Detroit Cougars. After returning to the Habs in 1928-29, he played two more games with the team before being sent to join the International Hockey League’s London club on Nov. 11, 1929. Palangio also played for the Chicago Blackhawks with whom he won the Stanley Cup in 1937-38.
