Ron Andruff was the Canadiens second-round pick and the 32nd overall selection in the 1973 NHL Entry Draft. He made his NHL debut on Feb. 15, 1975 against the Chicago Blackhawks at the Forum. Andruff played five more games with the Habs during their 1975-76 campaign, recording no points. He was traded to the Colorado Rockies along with Sean Shanahan on Sept. 13, 1976, in exchange for financial compensation. Andruff went on to play three seasons with Colorado before crossing the pond to continue his career in Europe.
