Originally from Duluth, Minnesota, defenseman Sean Hill, was the Canadiens’ eighth-round pick and the 167th overall selection at the 1988 NHL Entry Draft. He made his debut with the Habs in the spring of 1991, suiting up for the first game of the Adams Division Final playoff series against the Boston Bruins. Hill found himself in a similar situation the following season when the four games he played came as part of the Canadiens’ 1992 playoff series against the Bruins. He also participated in the Olympic Games in Albertville. Hill finally carved out a place for himself on the team in Montreal’s next campaign, playing 31 regular season games and another three in the playoffs to help the Habs hoist their 24th Stanley Cup.

Over the course of his 17 year NHL campaign, Hill also enjoyed stints with the Ottawa Senators, Carolina Hurricanes, St. Louis Blues, Florida Panthers, New York Islanders and Minnesota Wild.
