Goaltender, Vincent Riendeau, signed as a free agent with the Canadiens on October 9, 1985.
He played his only career game with the Habs on December 28, 1987 in Calgary. During his 36 minutes of ice time, he allowed five goals on the Flames 22 shots. Riendeau was traded to St. Louis, along with Sergio Momesso, for Jocelyn Lemieux, Darrell May and the Blues’ second-round pick in the 1989 draft (Patrice Brisebois), on August 8, 1985. He would also go on to play for the Detroit Red Wings and the Boston Bruins before retiring from the NHL in 1995.
