Vladimir Vujtek was the Canadiens’ fourth-round pick and the 73rd overall selection at the 1991 NHL Entry Draft. He played two games with the Habs on Feb. 4 and 5, 1992, in Vancouver and Edmonton respectively, recording no points. The Canadiens traded him to Edmonton along with Shayne Corson and Brent Gilchrist on Aug. 27, 1992 in exchange for Vincent Damphousse and the Oilers’ fourth-round pick in the 1993 draft (Adam Wiesell). Vujtek also played for the Tampa Bay Lightning, the Altanta Thrashers and the Pittsburgh Penguins during his time in the NHL.
