Hailing from Valleyfield, Quebec, left-winger Yves Sarault was the Canadiens third-round pick and the 61st overall selection at the 1991 NHL Entry Draft. He made his NHL debut with the Habs on Mar. 25, 1995. After playing a total of 22 games with the Bleu-Blanc-Rouge, he was traded to the Calgary Flames on Nov. 25, 1995, along with Craig Ferguson in exchange for the Flames’ eighth-round pick in 1997 (Petr Kubos). Sarault also enjoyed stints with the Colorado Avalanche, Ottawa Senators, Atlanta Thrashers and Nashville Predators during his NHL career which ended in 2001-02. He went on to continue playing in Europe until 2008-09.
